Before You Ask
Why can't I buy right now?
I make 108 jars by hand, then release them all at once every sixty days. When a batch sells out, it's gone until the next release. If a batch is sold out, join the waitlist and I'll email you before the next one opens, waitlist members get first access.
What is tallow, and why use it on skin?
Tallow is rendered beef fat. I make mine from 100% suet, the firm fat from around the kidneys, which renders cleaner and more stable than fat from elsewhere on the animal. A lot of the fatty acids in it, like oleic and palmitic, are ones your own skin makes too. It's not identical, but there's a real kinship there. People have used tallow on skin for centuries, long before petroleum-based ingredients replaced it.
Is it really halal?
Yes. I use only halal-certified beef tallow, sourced with care and rendered by hand. Our creams are also entirely free of alcohol and any alcohol-derived ingredients, every component is chosen to adhere to true Islamic principles, from the first ingredient to the last.
How long does one jar last?
A little goes a long way. Most people find a single jar lasts two to three months with regular use, which is part of why I release a new batch every sixty days.
Will it feel greasy?
No. Our creams are made to absorb rather than sit on the surface. A small amount melts into the skin. If you use more than you need, it will feel richer, so start small.
How do I store it?
Keep it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. In warm temperatures the cream may soften, this is the nature of pure tallow, not a flaw. To firm it up, refrigerate briefly. The texture returns with no change to the formula.
Do you ship outside the USA?
I currently ship within the United States only. I hope to expand where I ship as I grow.
Why only 108 jars?
Because that is what I can make by hand, to our standard, in one sixty-day cycle. I could make more by rushing or cutting corners. I would rather make less, and make it right.
Does joining the waitlist reserve a jar for me?
No. The waitlist notifies you first and gives you a 48-hour head start, but it doesn't hold a jar. Because our batches are small, they can sell out quickly. When you get the notification, I recommend ordering soon to secure yours.
